Abstract

Gingival Somatic Cells (GSCs) collected from wister rats, were cultured in culture medium, passaged and grown in positive, negative control medium and in experimental medium with different composition for three time duration of 7, 14 and 21 days. Protein Rich Fibrin (PRF) collected from different sources of wister rats were added to the treatment group to assess their effect on the expression of SPARC (Secreted Protein Acidic Rich in Cysteine) which plays a major role in the bone mineralization, cell matricinteraction and collegen bonds, which can be used as markers that correlate with low risk of bone resorption in patients with periodental disease.

Key Words: Gingival Somatic Cells (GSC), Osteogenic differentiation
