A Rare Case Report of Rabies in a Mule

Abstract

A male mule was reported to clinic with symptoms of pyrexia and hindlimb in coordination. The symptoms deteriorated rapidly to ataxia followed by paralysis of hind legs and recumbency. The mule was treated symptomatically under segregation since the location was endemic to rabies. Fluorescent antibody test was used to confirm the case as rabies
