Panmetritis, Endometrial Hyperplasia and Uterine Serosal Inclusion Cyst in a Bitch – A Case Report

Abstract

A ten year old nulliparous Pomeranian bitch was brought to Teaching Veterinary Clinical Complex (TVCC), Mannuthy, KVASU with bilateral enlarged caudal mammary glands and with the history of repeated episodes of purulent vaginal discharge since a few years. Clinical and ultrasonic evaluation conrmed the diagnosis of uterine serosal inclusion cyst. Surgical excision of mammary gland tumours along with ovariohysterectomy was performed under general anaesthesia. Histopathological evaluation of the uterus conrmed panmetritis and endometrial hyperplasia.
