Abstract

A case of basal cell carcinoma was recorded in a three year-old female Mecheri sheep. The sheep was treated for two months with the history of frequent itching, restlessness, head shaking and oozing of blood from the growth on the forehead. The mass was raised, circumscribed,  rm, ulcerated and extend on to the entire fore head region. Impression smears prepared from the growth revealed low cellularity and tumor cells were not evident. Histopathological examination of the biopsy samples revealed the characteristic features of basal cell carcinoma.
