Abstract

A 75 days old female Beagle pup weighing 6.1 Kg was presented with history of haematochezia, haematemesis and reduced food intake. Hematobiochemical examination revealed leucocytosis and elevated creatinine level. Qualitative immunochromatographic assay for canine parvovirus antigen in canine faeces was found to be positive. The animal had an uneventful recovery with symptomatic therapy. Hence, this case report puts into record a rare case of acute kidney injury as a sequel of canine parvoviral enteritis.
