Extraction of Nasal Foreign Body From Dorsal Concha in a Pony

Abstract

Foreign body (swab-stick: 14.8 x 0.5 cm) from nasal dorsal concha of a six year old male pony was removed under ketamine (1.25 mg per kg body weight) and xylazine, intravenous anaesthesia (0.5 mg per kg body weight) with the help of single pronged blunt ended Snook hookretractor (20.5 cm long).
