Abstract
In vitro anthelmintic effect of Citrullus colocynthis were studied on the amphistome Cotylophoron cotylophorum. Live amphistome Cotylophoron cotylophorum parasites were collected from the infected rumen of freshly slaughtered domestic buffaloes (Bubalus bubalis) at the local zoo abattoir in Udaipur. The study revealed that aqueous and alcoholic fruit extracts of C. colocynthis caused more mortality compared to albendazole. The aqueous extract was less potent than alcoholic extract
