Abstract

This study aimed to determine the presence of macrobenthos and phytoplankton as biological indicators in Tabuhan Island. The diversity index of macrobenthos and phytoplankton showed 1,9 and 2,9 respectively. Macrobenthos uniformity index was 0.47 while phytoplankton uniformity index was 0.26. The dominance index of macrobenthos was 0.16 while the dominance index of phytoplankton was 0.07. Base on diversity index, uniformity index and dominance index, biological indicator Tabuhan Island waters had indicator for their growth.
