Management of Atopic Dermatitis in Dog

Abstract

A three years old Golden Retriever was presented with the history of intermittent pruritic skin lesions and erythema for the last 2 years. Various treatments have been carried out. Skin tape was performed and it’s conrmed yeast infection (Malasezzia sp.), suggested with weekly bath using Sebazole. The allergy testing was performed and the result showed sensitivity to allergents is related to food items.The pruritus was satisfactorily reduced after treatment with Cytopoint. A case of atopic dermatitis in dog and its successful treatment is reported.
