External Hysterectomy for Irreducible Total Uterine Prolapse in a Non- Descript Doe: A Case Report.

Abstract

A non-descript doe with total uterine prolapse was presented to Large Animal Obstetrics Unit, Madras Veterinary College Teaching Hospital with the history of having delivered a live kid before one week. On examination, a prolapsed mass with maternal caruncles which were soiled, inamed, edematous, congested and partially necrotic was noticed. In this paper, the surgical management with external hysterectomy is reported.
