Parasiticidal Activity of Ocimum sanctum linn Against Ascaridia galli in Chicken: in vitro Study

Abstract

The parasiticidal activity of ethanol extract of Ocimum sanctum leaves on A.galli worms were subjected to Ocimum sanctum extract at 1.25; 2.5; 5.0 and 10.0 per cent concentration at 37oC in four replicates each for 24 hrs in petri dishes. The 10 per cent ethanol extract of Ocimum sanctum treatment resulted in highest parasiticidal activity
