Leiomyosarcoma of Vulva in a Two Years Old Bitch – A Case Report

Abstract

A two years old intact female mongrel dog was brought to the Heart2heart veterinary hospital with a history of mass in the vulva for the past few weeks. On physical examination, ulcerated mass measuring about 2.5 cm in diameter was noticed on the left side vulvar lip. Impression smear and ne needle aspiration cytology was performed and the condition was diagnosed as vulvar tumour and surgical excision was performed by partial vulvectomy. Histopathology study conrmed the condition as Leiomyosarcoma. Post surgically, systemic antibiotics for one week was given and the animal made an uneventful recovery
