Abstract

This study was conducted to evaluate the efect of Meniran (Phyllanthus niruri Linn.) and Sambiloto (Andrographis paniculata Ness.) against Avian Pathogenic Escherichia coli (APEC). Difusion method was used to know bacteria inhibition effect, and dilussion methods such us Minimum Inhibitory Concentration (MIC) and Minimum Bactericidal Concentration (MBC) to detect bacteriostatic and bacteriocidal effect of Meniran, Sambiloto and its combination. The result showed that combination of 10% Meniran + 20% Sambiloto and above could act against APEC growth. Meniran and Sambiloto could be used as natural antibacteria supplemented in animal feed

Key Words: meniran, sambiloto, antibacterial effect, avian pathogenis
