This study was taken up in two villages of Kanchipuram district after an assessment through participatory rural appraisal showed the need for upgradation of local goats. Twenty does of goat herds of each village were randomly divided into two groups of 10 each. Goats in control group (T1) were crossed with nondescript bucks and goats in the other group (T2) with Boer bucks.
