Abstract

The purpose of the study was to evaluate the effect of red dragon peel (Hylocereus polyrhizus) as feed supplement on digestibility of nutrients in fattening rabbit’s bucks. The supplementation of red dragon peel in feed respectively 0% (RDP0), 7% (RDP7), 8% (RDP8), and 9% (RDP9) was given for four weeks. The result showed that there was no signicant differences (p>0.05) on digestibility of nutrients in fattening rabbits. This explains that red dragon fruit peels can be used as a feed supplement up to 9% without reducing nutritional value and nutrient digestibility.

Key Words: red dragon fruit peel, rabbit nutrition.
