Effect of Noni (Morinda citrifolia) Fruit Juice on Production Performance of Layer Type Japanese Quails

Abstract

The efcacy of commercial noni fruit juice (Apollo Life Noni Juice ®) on production and early reproductive performances of Japanese quails at the concentration of 1 ml and 2 ml per litre of drinking water was tested. The supplementation had signicantly (P<0.05) improved third and sixth week body weights, body weight gain and feed efciency from 0 to 6 weeks of age and reduced the feed intake. Although the age at  rst egg laying was signicantly (P<0.05) reduced due to supplementation, egg number, egg weight and egg mass during early laying period of 7 to 10 weeks were not altered
