Fatty Liver Haemorrhagic Syndrome in Desi Chicken

Abstract

Fatty liver haemorrhagic syndrome (FLHS) was observed in 05 backyard farming birds. The condition was characterised by obese, Pale comb, wattles and sudden death in 06 number. When necropsy examination is conducted, it was revealed as FLHS with abundant coelomic fat reserves and enlarged pale, friable and ruptured livers and the owner was advised for change in the feed and management practices. The present paper describes the occurrence and pathology of Fatty liver haemorrhagic Syndrome (FLHS) and associate changes in chicken
