Abstract

This study used 80 Isa Brown laying hens aged 25 weeks, divided into 4 treatments with 4 replications, each replication consisted of 5 hens. The treatment consisted of: T0: control; T1: 0.1% AGP; T2: 0.5% L.lactis+ 0.5% L. acidophilus; T3: 0.5% Bi dobacteriumsp+ 0.5% L. acidophilus. The results showed that use of 0.5% L.lactis + 0.5% L. acidophilus and 0.5% Bi dobacteriumsp + 0.5% L. acidophilus can reduce cholesterol and LDL levels and increase HDL on egg yolk. It can be concluded that the use of probiotics containing Lactococcuslactis, L. acidophilus; and Bi dobacteriumsp can be used at 0.5% level as a substitute for AGPs

Key Words: AGPs, cholesterol, HDL, LDL, probiotics
