Abstract

Due to feeding the prescribed dosages of selenoorganic preparations, the productivity of experimental rst-calf cows increased by 7.4 – 14.33 %, the calcium content increased by 0.07 – 1.96 mmol/l, the phosphorus content increased by 1.99 – 7.44 mmol/l, and the selenium content increased by 0.01 – 0.03 mmol/l. This allowed to improve their reproductive qualities; the duration of the service period decreased by 32.8 %, compared to their peers in the reference group. Selenium concentrations of 0.36 mg/kg of the dry matter in the diet contributed to the growth of animal productivity, milk quality and homeostasis normalization.

Key Words: selenoorganic preparation, enriching cow milk.
