A Case of Cranioschisis with Meningocele in a Large White Yorkshire Piglet

Cranioschisis with meningocele is a rare congenital deformity occurring in pigs. A newborn Large White Yorkshire male piglet was presented in a recumbent condition with uctuating swelling in the forehead region. Upon examination the swelling was found to be herniation of meninges with cerebrospinal uid which escaped through the cranioschisis in the frontal bone of the skull
