Abstract

This study was conducted to discover the effect of combination diet using water spinach (Ipomoea aquatica) silage, Polyunsaturated Fatty Acid (PUFA) concentrate and mineral lick on carcass commercial cuts of Peranakan Etawa (PE) goat. A total of 18 male PE goats were randomly distributed into three treatments, following a completely randomized design. Treatments included were diets with combination of water spinach silage: with basal concentrate (P0); with PUFA concentrate (P1); with PUFA concentrate and mineral lick (P2). After 40 days treatment, the goats were slaughtered and weighed commercial carcass cuts. The results showed that group P2 has the best performance in lean meat, bone, rack, ank and shank cuts than others.
