Abstract

The aim of this study was to determine the optimum dosage of Ovaprim induction by i/m to enhance silver rasbora milt production. Total of 30 mature male were selected with an average weight of 8.58±0.58 g and a length of 5.02±0.84 cm.. The doses of Ovaprim was given at the rate of 0.15 μl/g, 0.25 μl/g, 0.35 μl/g, 0.45 μl/g and 0.55 μl/g body weight by i/m. The parameters studied are sperm volume, concentration, motility, and viability. Spermiation induction showed a signi cant (P<0.05) in milt volume and sperm concentration. Ovaprim is suggested to be at 0.25 μl/g body weight in the induction of silver rasbora spermiation.

Key Words: milt, sperm, motility, viability
