Abstract

Para-prostatic cyst, measuring approximately 11.5x8.5cm and 8.5x3.5cm, were diagnosed in two German Shepherd dogs on abdominal radiography and ultrasonography. The cysts were drainedunder general anaesthesia along with castration as treatment. Both the dogs recovered spontaneously from perineal hernia with no starining from the day of surgery itself, thus, excluding the need for subsequent perineal herniorrhaphy
