Seasonal Variations on the Frequency of Normal Motile and Static Ejaculates and their Discard Rate in Murrah Buffalo Bulls

Abstract

A total of 4045 semen collections were obtained from 36 bulls into four conventional seasons and ve different periods. The results showed signicant variations in the occurrence of normal motile and static ejaculates, discard rate and total discard in ve different periods contrary to four different seasons. The results indicated that autumn is comparatively favorable period for normal as well as static ejaculates for cryopreservation.
